Kupwara: Shrikant Suse, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, on Saturday reviewed the district’s power supply arrangements and directed officials to ensure uninterrupted electricity during the holy month of Ramadhan, particularly at Sehri and Iftar hours.
Chairing a meeting with officers of the Power Development Department, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the status of feeders, transformers and maintenance systems across the district. He stressed the need for prompt fault detection and immediate restoration to prevent unscheduled outages during peak hours.
Suse instructed officials to remain on alert and strengthen coordination to address any disruptions on priority. Field staff were asked to maintain round-the-clock vigilance, while grievance redressal mechanisms were directed to remain fully functional and responsive.
Highlighting the significance of Ramadhan, he said uninterrupted power supply during Sehri and Iftar is essential for public convenience and must be ensured without compromise.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining essential services and facilitating a smooth observance of the holy month for residents.
