Daily Parcel Train from Budgam to Delhi Will Benefit Apple Growers: LG Sinha

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that a daily parcel train service from Budgam to New Delhi will significantly benefit apple growers in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement posted on X, the Office of the LG wrote, the service would provide “huge relief” to the horticulture sector by ensuring faster and more reliable transportation of produce to markets in the national capital.

Sinha expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for facilitating the initiative, which is expected to reduce transportation costs and minimise losses caused by delays.
