CSIR IICB Invites Applications For JSA And Junior Stenographer Posts With Salary Up To 81100

CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB), Kolkata has released the official notification inviting applications from interested and eligible candidates for Junior Secretariat Assistant and Junior Stenographer posts. There are 08 vacancies open for the mentioned positions.

As mentioned in the official notification of CSIR IICB, the upper age limit for the posts is 27 to 28 years depending on the position (age relaxation as per rules). Candidates selected for Junior Secretariat Assistant will be paid a monthly salary between 19900 to 63200, while Junior Stenographer will receive a salary between 25500 to 81100. The selection of applicants will be based on written examination followed by skill tests.

Applicants who are not exempted have to pay an application fee of 500. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, and other essential details below.

Applicants for the Junior Secretariat Assistant posts must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board and should have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi. For Junior Stenographer, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with stenography skills of 80 words per minute and the ability to transcribe in 50 minutes (English) or 65 minutes (Hindi). The age limit is 28 years for JSA and 27 years for Junior Stenographer. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.

The application fee for the recruitment process is structured according to categories: Candidates need to pay 500 as the application fee. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, women and ex-servicemen categories are exempted from payment of fees. The payment must be made online.

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of a written test followed by a skill test. For Junior Secretariat Assistant, Paper I will include Mental Ability Test of 100 questions and Paper II will include General Awareness and English Language. For Junior Stenographer, the selection process will include a written test followed by a stenography test. Candidates must qualify in both stages as applicable.
