CS Atal Dulloo Reviews Relief, Rehabilitation Efforts in Cloudburst hit Kishtwar

SRINAGAR: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo today visited Chisoti village in Paddar, Kishtwar district, to assess the situation in the wake of the devastating cloudburst that caused extensive damage to life and property.

He was accompanied by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Inspector General of Police Jammu, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar, and other senior officers.

During the visit, Dulloo reviewed the scale of destruction to habitations and infrastructure and interacted with affected families, local officials, and rescue personnel. He held detailed deliberations with teams of the NDRF, SDRF, police, and security forces on measures undertaken so far and the challenges ahead.

The Chief Secretary also met with local residents to take stock of the relief being provided, including healthcare, rehabilitation, and other support measures.

Dulloo instructed the administration to ensure immediate relief distribution, proper rehabilitation of displaced families, and swift restoration of essential services. He stressed close coordination among all departments to deliver a timely response and directed daily progress reports to be submitted to his office.

Dulloo reiterated the government’s commitment to extending every possible support for relief and recovery. He urged officials to remain vigilant and proactive in addressing the needs of the affected communities.
