CRPF Personnel Shoots Self Dead in Srinagar | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel allegedly shot himself dead at Parimpora area of Srinagar on Friday, officials said.

Official said that the personnel, who was deployed from a CRPF battalion and attached to Police Station Parimpora for duty, used his service rifle to take the extreme step and died on the spot.

The motive behind the incident was not immediately known.

Cognizance of the incident have been taken. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident. (KNC)
