CRPF Personnel Dies by Suicide in Shopian | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel allegedly shot himself dead inside a camp in the Batapora area of Shopian on Friday, officials said.

An official said that the constable, belonging to 14 Battalion and a resident of Himachal Pradesh, used his service weapon to take the extreme step and died on the spot.

The reason behind the incident was not immediately known, officials said.

Cognizance have been taken and further investigation is underway. (KNC)
