SRINAGAR: A 55-year-old CRPF jawan deployed at the Anantnag Railway Station in south Kashmir died after suffering a heart attack during the night, officials said on Thursday.

Officials said the deceased was identified as Lakhwinder Singh, son of Ajaib Singh, a resident of Punjab, who was serving with the 90 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). He was rushed to the Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

They added that the cause of death was cardiac arrest. (KNC)
