SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday criticised the outcome of the recent conflict in the middle east, describing it as an “unjust war.”

In a post on X, the Chief Minister said the ceasefire has merely led to the reopening of a strait that had already been freely accessible prior to the outbreak of hostilities.

He questioned the rationale behind the conflict, asking what the 39-day war had ultimately achieved for the United States, and tagged his remarks with the hashtag #UnjustWar.

The United States and Iran have agreed to a Pakistan-brokered ceasefire, with the delegations from Washington and Tehran expected to meet in Islamabad on Friday for the first open diplomatic contact.

It is pertinent to mention that the United States and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire facilitated by Pakistan, with delegations from both Washington and Tehran set to meet in Islamabad on Friday for their first direct diplomatic engagement.
