
SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday laid e-foundation stones and inaugurated a series of development projects worth over Rs 37 crore in Srinagar district, aimed at strengthening social welfare, healthcare infrastructure, connectivity and livelihood support.
According to a post shared by Office of Chief Minister, JK on X, the projects include the upgradation of Abhedananda Home for children with special needs, construction of key bridges over Maloori Nallah, expansion of academic and clinical infrastructure at Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, and the establishment of a Fleece Testing Laboratory at Zakura.

The Chief Minister said the initiatives are intended to improve essential services and create long-term benefits for vulnerable groups, patients, students and local livelihoods. The projects are expected to enhance healthcare delivery, improve road connectivity and support the wool sector through scientific testing facilities.
Further details regarding timelines and implementation are expected to be shared by the concerned departments.
