
SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday inaugurated the exposition of Kashmir Marathon–2025 at Polo View, Srinagar, marking the final stage of preparations for the upcoming marathon scheduled to take place on November 2.
The event, organised as part of the Kashmir Marathon’s second edition, features stalls and counters set up by various government departments, private sports companies, and event partners. The exhibition highlights a range of sports gear, fitness equipment, and outdoor accessories, alongside bib collection and on-spot registration counters for participants.
Accompanied by Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, Director Tourism Kashmir Raja Yaqoob, and senior officers, the Chief Minister toured the venue and interacted with stall owners, athletes, and volunteers, lauding their efforts in promoting sports and fitness culture in the Union Territory.
Earlier this week, the Chief Minister had unveiled the official merchandise of the Kashmir Marathon–2025 at Royal Springs Golf Course, comprising a cap, medal, and racing kit symbolising the spirit of endurance and unity. He urged fitness enthusiasts across the country to participate, describing the marathon as an opportunity to promote healthy living and showcase Kashmir’s scenic beauty to visiting runners.
