Central Institute Of Temperate Horticulture Srinagar Walk-in Interview For SRF Post On 06 August 2025

ICAR-Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (ICAR-CITH), Srinagar has released a notification inviting eligible candidates for a walk-in interview for the Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Post. This position is purely temporary and contractual for a period of one year, and may be extended based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

As per the official advertisement dated 22 July 2025, the walk-in interview will be held on 06 August 2025 at 11:00 AM at the institute’s premises in Rangreth, Srinagar. The selected candidate will work on a project related to the development of an AI-controlled electronic sensor for assessing apple aroma profiles. The emoluments offered are Rs. 42,000 per month plus 18% HRA as per ICAR norms.

Candidates must bring their brief bio-data, original certificates, self-attested photocopies, and a passport-size photograph for verification during the interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications: Master’s degree in Plant Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or Horticulture with a 4/5-year bachelor’s degree. Candidates with post-graduate degrees in basic sciences with a 3-year bachelor’s degree must have two years of research experience and NET qualifications as per the guidelines mentioned in OM Nos. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dated 13.07.2015 and other ICAR circulars.

Desirable: Experience in plant genomics, metabolomics, and transcriptomics.

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on 01.07.2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per GoI/ICAR norms.

Other Requirements: The appointment is full-time, contractual, and can be discontinued if not required. Selected candidates are not entitled to any regular appointment. The candidate must submit a two-month prior notice before resignation.
