SRINAGAR: Khyber Cement has announced its association as a supporting partner for the Census 2027 Summit: Shaping India’s AI-Driven Future, held in Jammu, positioning itself within the region’s broader digital transformation efforts.

Kyber Cement joins Census 2026 as AI Dialogue partner

The summit, hosted by the Directorate of Census Operations and organised by Governance Now, brought together senior administrators, policymakers, and technology experts to deliberate on the roadmap for India’s first digital-native census.

The event was attended by Chief Guest Atal Dulloo and Programme Chair Amit Sharma, along with a panel of national and international experts.

Organisers said the summit focused on integrating artificial intelligence and digital technologies into census operations, marking a shift towards data-driven governance frameworks.

Highlighting the company’s participation, Umar Tramboo said the partnership reflects a commitment to both structural and technological advancement in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Our association with the Census 2027 Summit is a strategic commitment to the structural and technological advancement of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said. “As the nation pivots toward an AI-driven future, we are focused on ensuring that the physical infrastructure of our region is as resilient and sophisticated as the digital systems being developed.”

The company stated that its involvement underscores the link between digital transformation and physical infrastructure, noting that while data systems shape governance, infrastructure forms the foundational layer enabling that transition.

Khyber Cement said its participation aligns with its broader expansion beyond core industrial operations into areas linked to regional development, including sustainable urban infrastructure and technological awareness.

The summit forms part of preparatory engagements ahead of the proposed Census 2027 exercise, which is expected to incorporate advanced digital tools and AI-based methodologies for data collection and analysis.

Khyber Cement, which originated in the Kashmir Valley, said it remains focused on contributing to the region’s long-term development through infrastructure support and participation in policy-oriented platforms.
