CBK Conducts House Searches in Srinagar, Budgam – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: The Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir on Saturday carried out searches at five different locations in Srinagar and Budgam districts in connection with a land fraud case under investigation at Police Station Special Crime Wing, Srinagar.

The case, a CBK Spokesperson said, was registered following a complaint alleging cheating on the pretext of land sale. The complainant stated that he had been provided documents purported to be genuine and subsequently paid several lakhs of rupees. “However, it later emerged that the land in question did not belong to the sellers. These facts were substantiated during the preliminary enquiry”, said the Spokesperson.

House searches are currently underway at multiple premises, while further investigation in the matter is ongoing.
