Body of Boy, Girl Retrieved from Nallah in North Kashmir – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: Two bodies were recovered from Nala Haji Peer near Larabal Balkote area in Uri Baramulla, official sources said on Sunday.

As per news agency GNS, the duo has been identified as Ab. Baseer Pathan (20), son of Salam Din Pathan, a resident of Balkote; and Shafiya Bano (18), daughter of Mohammad Mushtaq Awan of Thajal.

Preliminary information, they said, suggests that the duo may have slipped and fallen down the hillside, leading to their deaths. “However, the exact circumstances are yet to be confirmed.”

A police team reached the spot soon after being informed and retrieved the bodies from the location.

“An investigation has been initiated, and necessary medico-legal formalities are underway,” sources added.
