Srinagar, Dec 21: Continuing its mission to strengthen organisational structure and ensure transparent democratic processes, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K organised a crucial workshop on the Special Intensive Review (SIR) of electoral rolls in Kupwara.
The workshop was chaired by BJP State Spokesperson Manzoor Bhat and attended by senior district leaders, Mandal Presidents, and a large number of party workers, said a press release.
Bhat briefed the workers on the importance of the Special Intensive Review initiated by the Election Commission. He emphasized that this is a vital exercise to ensure that every eligible citizen is registered and that the electoral rolls are error-free. Bhat urged party workers and BLAs to assist the public in house-to-house verification. He stressed the need to identify and enroll new voters, especially the youth who have turned 18, and to rectify any discrepancies in existing data. Addressing the gathering, Bhat stated, “Our goal is to reach every household. The SIR is not just a technical process but a way to ensure that the democratic rights of the people of Kupwara are protected and empowered.”
