BARC Recruitment 2026 Notification Out For 21 Scientific Officer And Technical Officer Posts, Apply Online

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Scientific Officer and Technical Officer posts. A total of 21 vacancies have been announced for various medical disciplines.

Candidates possessing qualifications such as MBBS, Diploma, DNB, M.Sc, MS/MD, and DM are eligible to apply. The online application process started on 30 January 2026 and will remain open until 09 March 2026. Interested candidates must submit their application through the official website of BARC.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the required qualifications depending on the post.

• Scientific Officer-E (Cardiology): MBBS with MD (General Medicine) and DM (Cardiology) with 2 years experience OR MBBS with DNB (General Medicine) and DNB (Cardiology) with 2 years experience.
• Scientific Officer-E/D (Hospital Administrator): MBBS/BDS with PG Degree or PG Diploma in Hospital Administration, Hospital Management, or Hospital and Healthcare Management with relevant experience.
• Scientific Officer-D (ENT): MBBS with MS/MD/DNB in ENT from a recognized university.
• Scientific Officer-D (Radiology): MBBS with MD/DNB in Radiodiagnosis OR MBBS with PG Diploma in Radiology with 3 years experience.
• Scientific Officer-D (Ophthalmology): MBBS with MS/DNB in Ophthalmology.
• Scientific Officer-D (Pathology): MBBS with MD/DNB in Pathology.
• Scientific Officer-D (Anaesthesiology): MBBS with MD/DNB in Anaesthesia.
• Scientific Officer-C (General Duty / Casualty Medical Officer): MBBS with one year institutional experience.
• Scientific Officer-D (Nuclear Medicine): MBBS with MD/DNB in Nuclear Medicine OR MBBS with PG Diploma in Nuclear Medicine with 3 years experience.
• Technical Officer-D (Nuclear Medicine Technology): M.Sc with minimum 60% marks along with DMRIT/DNMT/DFIT OR M.Sc in Nuclear Medicine Technology with 60% marks.
• Scientific Officer-E (Nuclear Medicine): MBBS with MD/DNB in Nuclear Medicine with 4 years experience after qualification.

BARC Recruitment 2026 Salary

Age Limit

The age limit is calculated as on 27 February 2026.

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age:
• 35 Years for Scientific Officer-C
• 40 Years for Scientific Officer-D
• 50 Years for Scientific Officer-E

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government rules for eligible categories including SC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and other categories mentioned in the notification.
