Balmer Lawrie Opens Online Applications For 32 Supervisory Trainee Posts, Check Details

Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd., a Mini Ratna I Public Sector Company under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, has released an official notification inviting online applications for 32 Supervisory Trainee posts in various engineering disciplines. Interested and eligible Diploma holders can apply online through the official recruitment portal.

As per the notification, these posts will be filled across multiple units of Balmer Lawrie located in Taloja (Greater Mumbai), Kolkata, Manali (Chennai), and Silvassa. Candidates must be aged between 18 and 25 years as on 22 July 2025, with relaxations as per rules. Selected candidates will receive monthly emoluments ranging from Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 26,000 depending on the city category. The selection will be made through a written examination.

The online application process begins on 24 June 2025 and will close on 22 July 2025. Applicants do not need to pay any application fee. Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria and application instructions before applying.

Supervisory Trainee (Mechanical): 9 Posts
Supervisory Trainee (Chemical / Petrochemical): 12 Posts
Supervisory Trainee (Electrical): 4 Posts
Supervisory Trainee (Electronics / Electrical): 2 Posts
Supervisory Trainee (Paint / Surface Coating / Printing Technology): 3 Posts
Supervisory Trainee (Leather Technology): 2 Posts

Eligibility Criteria:

For educational qualifications, candidates must possess a full-time regular Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline with at least 60% marks (50% for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates). Final semester students are also eligible to apply provided they meet the qualifying percentage and can produce their final results within six months from the application deadline.

The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age is 25 years as on 22 July 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of a written examination. The test will be of 1.5 hours duration and conducted in pencil-paper mode. It will be held across five centres: Silvassa/Vapi, Taloja, Kolkata, Chennai, and Delhi. PwBD candidates will be given 30 minutes of extra time. Selection will be based on merit as per performance in the written exam.
