Ayatollah Khamenei’s killing moment of profound grief: AIP

Srinagar, Mar 1: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) on Sunday expressed sorrow over the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, describing the development as a moment of profound grief.

As per a press release, an emergency executive council meeting of the Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) was convened in this regard and was presided over by Vice Chairman Adv GN Shaheen.

The meeting was attended by General Secretaries Prince Parveez and Nazir Ahmad Khan, State Secretary Sheikh Ashiq, Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi, Spokesperson & PRO to MP Baramulla Firdouse Baba, and Secretary Finance Parveez Ahmad Bhat, where the situation was discussed in detail and a collective tribute was paid.

In a statement issued after the meeting, AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei has deeply saddened millions who regarded him as religious and political leader and resistance. He said such unfortunate situation “leave lasting emotional scars and remind humanity of the heavy cost of conflict and confrontation.”
