SRINAGAR: Authorities in Bandipora have ordered the immediate closure of a dental clinic operating behind Khadim Market, citing violations of prescribed health regulations and lack of required clearances.
The action was taken following an inspection by health officials, during which the clinic was found to be functioning without the mandatory infrastructure and qualified personnel as stipulated under public health guidelines.
Officials directed the owners to complete all legal formalities and obtain the necessary approvals before the clinic could be considered for reopening. Until then, the establishment will remain shut.
Health authorities stressed that such inspections will be extended to all clinical establishments across the district to ensure strict compliance with medical standards and to safeguard public health.
“This is part of a broader drive to enforce health norms and ensure that only properly licensed and equipped facilities are permitted to operate,” said an official involved in the inspection.
