SRINAGAR: Authorities in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday ordered the closure of all government and private schools for Saturday, April 4, due to persistent rains and adverse weather conditions across the region.

The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri issued the official order, stating that the decision was made to ensure the safety of students and school staff.

Intermittent rainfall continued across the union territory on Friday, with light snowfall reported in some higher-altitude areas. The wet conditions have caused slippery roads, waterlogging in low-lying areas, and slowed traffic in parts of the valley.

The district administration advised parents, teachers, and residents to exercise caution and take necessary safety measures during the ongoing adverse weather.
