Attack on Dr Farooq concerning: Mirwaiz

Srinagar, Mar 12: Terming the attempt on Dr Farooq Abdullah life as concerning and condemnable, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq demanded a thorough probe into the incident. “Relieved to know that he escaped unhurt. That someone with a loaded weapon got so close and fired at him, needs to be thoroughly probed,” said Mirwaiz in a statement.

He also welcomed bail granted to Shabir Shah and added, “Alhumdulilah! Welcome the bail granted to Shabir Shah saheb after prolonged incarceration by the Supreme Court.

We fervently hope that the courts in the same spirit give relief to all political prisoners and youth languishing in jails inside and outside J&K,  bringing cheer to their families and the people.”
