Army committed to ensure lasting peace in J&K: Gen Dwivedi

Jammu, Feb 22: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi, while lauding the troops for steadfast resolve, operational excellence and seamless coordination in ongoing operations, on Sunday reiterated commitment to ensure lasting peace in J&K ìwith zero tolerance for terrorism in all its forms.î

Earlier, the security forces in a joint operation killed three Pakistani terrorists, affiliated to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in Kishtwar encounter on Sunday.

Top Jaish commander Saifullah is believed to be among slain terrorists.

ìGeneral Upendra Dwivedi, COAS, commends the troops of Northern Command for their exemplary professionalism and steadfast resolve in ongoing counter-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir. He lauds their vigilance, operational excellence and seamless coordination under challenging conditions,î ADG-PI of Indian Army posted on ëXí.

ìThe Indian Army remains unwavering in its commitment to ensuring lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir with zero tolerance for terrorism in all its forms,î the post said.
