Army Commander visits Sunderbani sector after infiltration bid foiled

Rajouri, Feb 21: Army Commander Northern Command, LT Gen Pratik Sharma, visited the Sunderbani sector and commended troops for foiling an infiltration bid under Operation Jwala and recovering war-like stores along the Line of Control.

Army said that Army Commander Northern Command, Lt Gen Pratik visited the Sunderbani sector following the successful culmination of Operation Jwala.

In this operation, army troops had foiled an infiltration bid and resulted in the recovery of war-like stores.

The Army Commander commended the troops for their swift and precise action.

In a statement issued officially by army which mentioned that that Army Commander also lauded the professionalism, commitment and steadfast resolve of troops towards, ensuring a terror-free Jammu Kashmir.

Earlier, on Friday evening, General Officer Commanding White Knight Corps, Lt Gen PK Mishra visited the Balnoi sector of LoC in Poonch’s Mendhar where he assessed the Counter Infiltration posture as well as operational preparedness of troops deployed along the Line of Control.

Later, Lt Gen PK Mishra accompanied by GOC Crossed Swords Division visited the forward areas of the Sunderbani sector to review the prevailing security situation following the successful foiling of an infiltration bid.

Army had mentioned that troops along the Line of Control (LoC) stand resolute and steadfast unyielding in vigilance, unmatched in resolve.
