SRINAGAR: An Army officer lost his life after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest while performing duty in the Narayan area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s on Sunday.

Official sources said that Capt Aman Kumar Singh a resident of Bakar Abad in Uttar Pradesh, experienced a sudden cardiac arrest during active duty. He was immediately evacuated and administered first aid before being airlifted to 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar for advanced medical care.

However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead.

Police have initiated proceedings under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) in this regard. (KNC)
