SRINAGAR: Security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in the forest area of Gogaldoora in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said on Thursday.
A senior police officer informed Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that the operation was launched based on specific intelligence inputs. A joint team of security personnel conducted the search in the area, leading to the recovery of the weaponry.
The recovered items include a 9mm pistol, a pistol magazine, nine rounds of ammunition, one hand grenade, a cotton bandolier, gloves, and a bag, the officer said.
A case has been registered under relevant sections at the local police station, and further investigation is currently underway, he added.
