The Directorate of Industries and Commerce Jammu, Government of Jammu and Kashmir has released Advertisement Notification No. 01 of 2026 for the engagement of Legal Consultant and HR (Office/Secretarial) posts in the Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council (MSEFC), Jammu.

Vacancy Details

The engagement will initially be for a period of six months and may be extended based on satisfactory performance, availability of funds and approval of the competent authority.

Age Limit

Maximum Age Limit	40 Years
Age Calculation Date	01 January 2026

Candidates applying for the posts must not be older than 40 years as on the specified date.

Educational Qualification

Post	Qualification
Legal Consultant	Law Graduate from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks.
HR (Office/Secretarial)	Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

Experience Requirement

Post	Experience
Legal Consultant	Minimum 2 years of legal work experience in courts, government departments or quasi-judicial bodies including tribunals. Candidates must also have at least one year experience in MSME disputes, arbitration or mediation matters.
HR (Office/Secretarial)	Minimum 2 years experience in handling data entry with computer skills, internet usage, web surfing and data processing using Excel software.

Candidates applying for Legal Consultant should also have good drafting skills, proficiency in English and local language, and working knowledge of MS Office.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on merit calculated out of 100 marks.

Marks obtained in Graduation	80 Marks
Additional Qualification (LLM for Legal Consultant / PG for HR)	05 Marks
Relevant Work Experience	05 Marks
Interview / Viva Voce	10 Marks

Interview marks will be awarded based on the following parameters:

Subject Knowledge – 3 Marks
Communication Skills – 3 Marks
Professional Competence – 2 Marks
Personality and Attitude – 2 Marks

The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained by candidates.
