Amarnath Yatra Pilgrim Enroute to Cave Dies

SRINAGAR: A 69 year old Amarnath Yatra pilgrim from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh has died on Wednesday afternoon after falling unconscious at Panjitarni base camp in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Officials said that the deceased lady has been identified as Kalpana, who was found unconscious in a washroom at the camp. She was immediately rushed to the Base Hospital Panjitarni, where doctors declared her brought dead.

Meanwhile, authorities have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated all necessary medico-legal formalities. (JKNS)
