Srinagar, Jul 28: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) has announced that its incarcerated President and Member of Parliament from Baramulla, Engineer Rashid, will attend the Parliament session on Wednesday (July 29) to participate in the crucial debate on Operation Sindoor.
In a statement issued to the press, AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said, “Baramulla Parliamentary constituency which Er Rashid represents, includes several areas along the Line of Control (LoC) that were most directly impacted by Operation Sindoor. The pain, the suffering and the ground realities of these people must be represented in Parliament. They need a voice and Er Rashid is that voice.”
Inam added that despite incarceration, Er Rashid remains committed to the people who elected him. “At a time when the very people he represents are going through immense pain, he cannot be a mute spectator. That is why we have decided to bear the one-day expenses required by authorities so that Er Rashid can attend the Parliament and ensure the truth is heard,” Inam said.
Inam Un Nabi accused parties such as PDP and NC of adopting an indifference towards Er Rashid.
Inam further said , “This is not just about one debate. It’s about representation with dignity, courage and truth.”
