Srinagar: Awami Ittehad Party senior leader and Lolab constituency in charge Advocate Dawood has called for immediate snow clearance in the Machil area, including Ring Bala, Ring Payeen, and other cut off localities.
In a media statement, Advocate Dawood said heavy snowfall has disrupted normal life across these areas, leaving several villages completely cut off due to blocked roads. He noted that the prolonged lack of connectivity has caused serious difficulties for residents.
He said patients, elderly people, and students are facing acute hardship due to restricted movement and delayed access to essential services. Advocate Dawood warned that any further delay in restoring road connectivity could aggravate the situation.
The AIP leader urged the administration to deploy adequate manpower and machinery without delay to clear snow from roads in Machil and adjoining areas. He also stressed the need to ensure timely supply of essential commodities, including food items, medicines, and fuel, to all affected localities.
Calling for swift and coordinated action, he urged the authorities to treat the matter with urgency to safeguard the welfare and safety of people living in these remote areas.
