
Srinagar, Mar 3: The Office of the Accountant General (AG) Office J&K Tuesday congratulated two of its employees — Shubham Pundir and Abid Mushtaq — for their stellar role in Jammu and Kashmir’s title-winning campaign in the Ranji Trophy 2025–26.
Both players were part of the victorious Jammu and Kashmir cricket team that clinched the prestigious Ranji Trophy, bringing laurels to the J&K.
Shubham Pundir emerged as the standout performer in the final, smashing a magnificent 121 runs to steer his side to victory.
His match-defining knock earned him the Man of the Match award and drew praise from cricketing circles across the country.
Abid Mushtaq made vital contributions as an all-rounder throughout the summit clash, reinforcing his reputation as a dependable performer under pressure.
“Both the cricketers are among several top sportspersons recruited by the AG office under the sports recruitment policy of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India,” the handout reads.
“The policy aims to promote sporting excellence while providing institutional support to talented athletes,” it reads.
