
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday produced a chargesheet against Ex-Vice Chairman, JDA, and others in an illegal plot allotment case.
In a statement issued, the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jammu and Kashmir, has produced a chargesheet registered under Section 5(1)(d) read with Section 5(2) of the Jammu and Kashmir Prevention of Corruption Act, Svt. 2006, and Section 120-B RPC, before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Jammu.
The chargesheet has been filed against Vinod Sharma, Ex-Vice Chairman, JDA, Mamta Sharma wife of Vinod Sharma, Ghany Sham, then Naib Tehsildar, JDA (now retired and expired), and Rishi Kumar, then Patwari, JDA (now retired and expired), the statement reads.
The instant case was registered on the basis of a verification conducted by the then Vigilance Organisation (now ACB) into allegations of illegal allotment of Plot No. 42, Sector-1A, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, and illegal possession of an additional 4,300 sq. ft. of land by Mamta Sharma, wife of the then Vice Chairman, JDA, it reads.
Investigations revealed that the accused persons, in connivance with officers/officials of JDA, by abusing their official position, facilitated the illegal allotment of the plot and encroachment of the adjoining land at Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, it reads.
The Hon’ble Court has fixed December 12, 2025 as the next date of hearing in the matter, reads the statement. (KNC)
