
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation (JPDCL) has announced planned power outages across multiple areas in Jammu and Kishtwar districts during October, citing maintenance and upgrade works, officials said on Friday.
In Jammu, power supply to Sidhra, Sheetli, Dhoutli, Bahu Fort, Malhori, Jaghir and adjoining areas will be suspended on 4 October from 6 am to 12 noon. The supply to Shahidi Chowk LT Line will be affected from 4 to 10 October, Lakhdata Bazaar LT Line from October 11-16, Talab Khatikan LT Line from 15 to 18 and 22 to 24 October, and Prem Tent House LT Line from 4 to 5 and October 24 to 26, with timings from 9 am to 3 pm.
Other affected areas in Jammu include Gujjar Nagar-II LT Line (4–6, October 11-13, 9 am–4 pm), Main Road Gujjar Nagar-II LT Line ( October 7-10), 9 am–4 pm), DC Office Road-I to IV LT Lines (October 14-26, 9 am–4 pm), Krishna Nagar I–VI LT Lines (4–31 October, 9 am–4 pm), Back Side Guest House-II LT Line (October 4-6, 9 am–4 pm), Inside PHE LT Line (October 7-10, 9 am–4 pm), Chand Nagar I–II LT Lines (October 11-16, 9 am–4 pm), Prem Nagar I–III LT Lines (October 4-12, 9 am–4 pm), Dhammi I–III LT Lines (October 4-12, 9 am–4 pm), Kalgran-II LT Line (October 4-6, 9 am–4 pm), Jarri BPL LT Line (October 5-15, 9 am–4 pm), Khelti Near Mandir LT Line ( October 4-6, 9 am–4 pm), and Kor Jagir LT Line (7–11 October, 9 am–4 pm).
In Kishtwar district, power will remain affected on October 5 from 8 am to 1 pm. Meanwhile, in Hiranagar town, Jhandi, Chadwal, Dayalachak and Chal Pranjal, supply will be suspended on October 5 from 9 am to 12 noon. Premanagar, Thathri, Dhara, Gandoh, Changa, Bhatyas, Bhaderwah and adjoining areas will face outages on October 4 from 9 am to 4 pm.
JPDCL has urged residents and businesses to make necessary arrangements and warned that the interruptions are essential for the safe and efficient maintenance of the power network.
