Letting fruit trucks remain stranded economic assault on people: Inam Un Nabi

Srinagar, Sep 15: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) has announced a peaceful sit-in protest to be held tomorrow, Tuesday, 16th September 2025, at Press Colony Srinagar, 11 am, in support of Kashmir’s fruit growers.

AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said the protest is being organized to demand the smooth passage of apple-laden trucks on the Srinagar–Jammu National Highway, which continues to face unnecessary blockades.

He said the blockade has pushed the fruit industry, the backbone of Kashmir’s economy, to the brink of collapse.
