Handwara Police Solve Hit-and-Run Case, Seizes Vehicle – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: Police in Handwara have cracked a hit-and-run case within days of the incident, tracing and seizing the vehicle involved in an accident that left a minor injured at Yaroo on September 3.

The injured child, the officials say, was immediately shifted to GMC Handwara for treatment. Following the incident, Police Station Handwara registered FIR No. 203/2025 under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and launched an investigation.

“Working on technical evidence and other leads, police managed to identify the vehicle involved in the accident and subsequently seized it.”

Authorities said the swift action reflects the professionalism and commitment of Handwara Police in ensuring accountability and upholding justice.
