8 injured after passenger auto overturns in J&K’s Udhampur

Udhampur, Sep 07: At least eight passengers were injured on Sunday afternoon after an auto passenger vehicle met with an accident at Sira Latti area of Udhampur district.

Officials told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that the vehicle (registration number JK14 K 3634) was on its way from Sarar to Latti when it skidded off the road at around 3:30 PM due to rash driving, poor road conditions and heavy rain.

The injured were immediately shifted to PHC Latti for treatment, from where four were later referred by ambulance to CHC Chenani for advanced medical care, they said.

Authorities said further details about the condition of the injured are awaited. While cognizance of the incident has been taken.
