
SRINAGAR: Cricket enthusiasts and young players in Kashmir will get a rare opportunity to train under former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin, who is scheduled to visit Srinagar on September 7, 2025.
Azharuddin will conduct a specialised training camp at the MS Cricket Academy, where he will directly mentor budding cricketers.
Officials said the visit is expected to provide a major boost for cricket in the Valley, offering local talent first-hand exposure to one of India’s most celebrated cricketers. Azharuddin, known for his elegant batting and leadership, will guide participants on improving technique and understanding the finer nuances of the game.
The training camp is aimed at honing the skills of aspiring players and is being seen as an important step in encouraging the next generation of Kashmiri cricketers. (KNO)
