
Srinagar, Sep 6: Athletes from Jammu & Kashmir delivered a spirited performance at the 4th Sub-Junior & Senior National Taekwondo Championship 2025, held from Aug. 28 to Sept. 2 at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha.
As per a statement issued on Saturday, competing against top talent, the J&K contingent secured a bronze medal in the event.
The team featured athletes in both sub-junior and senior categories, including Shifa Asif, Mariyam un Nissa, Jannat Wani, Soliha, Nafiz Alam, Adeeb Shabir, Afreen Hyder, Zainab Arif, Danish Yousuf, Faisal Shafi, Mannat Sharma, Sharwan Kotwal, Gorav Singh, Muzaffar Sheikh and Suhail Ahmad.
Guided by coach Mansha Bashir, the athletes trained intensively to make their mark on the national stage.
The athletes expressed gratitude to President Ram Krishan, Mukesh Thakur, and the Railways Police for their support and sponsorship.
This participation reflects the growing talent and passion for taekwondo in Jammu & Kashmir and sets the stage for future accomplishments at the national and international levels.
