Tremors Felt in Kashmir as 5.8 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Afghanistan

Srinagar: Strong tremors were felt across several parts of the Kashmir Valley, especially north Kashmir, late Thursday evening after a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the quake occurred at 10:26 pm IST with its epicenter located at latitude 34.58 N and longitude 70.66 E in Afghanistan. The earthquake struck at a depth of 160 kilometers. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties from the Valley.
