2 Die of Electric Shock While Saving Goods from Flooded Market in South Kashmir

Srinagar: Two persons lost their lives due to an electric shock while attempting to save goods from a flooded market in Gangiwara area near Achabal Adda of Anantnag district on Wednesday. News agency KNC quoted officials as saying that the incident occurred when the victims came in contact with a live wire while trying to retrieve belongings from inundated shops. “Rescue teams rushed to the spot, but both were declared dead.” Authorities have urged people in flood-affected areas to exercise extreme caution, particularly near submerged electric installations.
