Dr Karan Singh seeks Centre’s support to tackle weather vagaries

Jammu, Aug 27: Former Sadr-e-Riyasat of Jammu & Kashmir Dr Karan Singh has expressed deep shock and anguish over the devastating natural calamities that have struck the UT , particularly the Jammu region.

In a press release issued here , the nonagenarian leader said, “While greeting everyone on Ganesh Chaturthi, I must express my shock and horror at the natural calamities that have hit Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the Jammu region.

I extend my deep sympathy to the bereaved families of those who have perished, and pray for speedy recovery of those injured.” The former Member Parliament hoped that the Central Government would extend all necessary support to the State administration to deal effectively with the current crisis.
