Srinagar, Aug 22: Callisto Art and Culture, in partnership with Ehsaas Foundation NGO Kashmir, organised the 2nd International Online Art Competition, bringing together over a hundred artists from nine countries on a single digital platform.
The initiative, conceived by Kashmiri visual artist and founder of Callisto Art, Zahoor Kashmiri, aimed to create avenues for cultural exchange and artistic collaboration beyond borders.
“This competition has opened doors for participants from across the globe, providing Kashmiri artists with a chance to showcase their excellence at the international platform,” Zahoor said.
Vice Chairman of Ehsaas Foundation, Burhan Nazir, said the collaboration reflected Kashmir’s aspiration to grow as a hub of cultural diplomacy.
The foundation, known for its work on Sufi ideas, cultural empowerment, and social welfare, lent a spiritual dimension to the event.
Artists from Kashmir featured prominently with works by Mehak Mubeen, Syed Mursaleen, Zargar Adil Ahmad, Mudasir Rehman Dar, Asif Iqbal Khan, Riyan Rafiq, Suhaib Ahmad Hakeem, Noureen, Mir Andleeb, Irtiqa Bazaz, Irtiza Sharief, and Inju Hussain among others.
Artists from other parts of India, as well as Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Pakistan, and Mexico also participated, showcasing a wide range of themes and styles.
