Jammu, Aug 21: Senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and Secretary of the Science and Technology Department Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has shared his excitement to be part of the “Eisenhower Fellowships 2025 Global Fellows”.
Terming it as his honour to share the frame and stand alongside other fellows of 2025 from around the world, describing them as “incredible changemakers”, the senior IAS officer shared his commitment to “build bridges of knowledge, partnerships, and action that link local resilience with global sustainability.”
He noted that the moments of glory came along with a responsibility to continue the work he cared about most, i.e., climate resilience and strengthening rural livelihoods.
An elated Shahid shared this, sharing his exhilaration through his post on ‘X’.
“Thrilled to share this frame of the Eisenhower Fellowships 2025 Global Fellows. Honoured to stand alongside incredible changemakers from around the world—and looking forward to building bridges of knowledge, partnerships, and action that link local resilience with global sustainability,” he posted.
“Having aspired to this for years, with a few near-misses along the way, being here today feels deeply rewarding. Beyond recognition, this carries with it a responsibility to continue the work I care about most: climate resilience and strengthening rural livelihoods,” Shahid shared his commitment.
“The journey of our communities in the Himalayas, especially transhumant pastoralists and farmers, reminds me every day that sustainability is not an abstract goal but a lived practice of resilience,” he added while sharing a picture of 2025 fellows (including him).
