No Cloudburst Occurrence in Warnow Forest Area, Officials

Jahangir Lolabi Srinagar: Officials have denied any cloudburst incident in Warnow Lolab forest area in Kupwara, almost an hour after purported occurence was reported from the area. As per officials, the locals had heard a loud bang, which they presumed as cloudburst and more so due to heavy flow of water in the area. “It however could have been a lightning incident and not any cloudburst.” “We urge the people not to panic, however maintain caution as heavy rains are currently on in the area,” the officials added.
