Srinagar, Aug 1: Sopore Stallions Cricket Club pulled off a thrilling three-wicket victory over Hamdan Hurricanes Cricket Club in the ongoing Kashmir Cup 2025 league match at TRC Ground, Srinagar, on Saturday.
Chasing 195, the Stallions reached the target in 19.4 overs, finishing at 197/7. Zuhaib Javid’s unbeaten 51 off 30 balls, laced with five sixes, guided the side home after explosive contributions from openers Fayaz Sarwar (47 off 27) and Shakir Bhat (41 off 23).
Earlier, Hamdan Hurricanes, batting first after Sopore opted to field, put up 194/9 in 20 overs. Their innings was powered by a blistering 97 off just 37 balls from Hilal Ahmad, who smashed 11 sixes and three fours at a strike rate of 262.
For Stallions, Zahid Nabi claimed three wickets, while Fayaz Sarwar and Arfat Khaja picked up two each. In reply, Imtiyaz Lefty bowled economically for the Hurricanes, finishing with 1/20 in his four overs. Captain Zahid also bagged two wickets.
