‘3 Militant Associates Apprehended with Arms, Ammo in North Kashmir’ – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: Security forces in north Kashmir’s Handwara have arrested three ‘militant associates’ during a search operation in Kralgund area, officials said on Thursday.

“A combined team of police, Army, and CRPF made the arrests following actionable intelligence,” said the officials. The detainees have been identified as Mohd Iqbal Pandith, son of Shareef Din Pandith, resident of Bunpora Langate; Sajad Ahmad Shah, son of Bashir Ahmad Shah, resident of Chekparin; and Ishfaq Ahmad Malik, son of Shabir Ahmad Malik, resident of Kralgund.

The recovery from their possession, as per the officials, includes one pistol with two live rounds, 20 AK rounds, and 20 incriminating posters.

“Police have registered a case under relevant provisions, and further investigation is underway to ascertain their links and possible roles in militant activities,” the officials said further.
