SRINAGAR: Five children from Dawar Gurez were hospitalised on Tuesday after reportedly consuming wild blackberries and forest herbs.

Officals said that the minors fell ill soon after eating the wild products and were rushed to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Dawar by their families for treatment.

The children, aged between 9 and 15 years, are all residents of Dawar Gurez and had consumed the wild blackberries and herbs during the day, the official added.

They were later referred from SDH Dawar to the Children’s Hospital Bemina for specialised care, where their condition is currently stable, officials said. (KNC)
