Srinagar, Aug 9: Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, reaffirmed the government’s stance on the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, stating it is not a favor but a constitutional right.
As per KNS, Wani said that, “We believed in promises. It’s not a concession, we were already a state. We were downgraded to a Union Territory. It’s time we are reinstated.”
He also said that the Supreme Court has scheduled to hear the matter of statehood on August 14, expressing optimism about a favorable outcome.
