U-19 inter-zonal sports tournament concludes in Rajouri

Rajouri, Aug 8: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Office Rajouri, successfully concluded the inter-zonal district-level tournament for under-19 boys and girls on Friday, showcasing remarkable talent and spirit of sportsmanship among the youth of the district.

As per a statement issued, the final day of the tournament featured an exciting lineup of martial arts and combat sports, including karate, wushu, taekwondo, wrestling, and boxing. Participants from various zones of the district competed vigorously in both boys’ and girls’ categories, demonstrating skill, agility, and dedication.

The events were held under the supervision and guidance of ZPEO Baljarallan Wali Mohd, whose diligent oversight ensured smooth conduct and fair play throughout the competition.

This sports initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and discipline among youth and align with the government’s vision of a drug-free society. As part of these efforts, the department also emphasised the importance of the Nasha Mukth Bharat Abhiyan, encouraging young athletes to stay away from narcotics and substances harmful to their health and future.
