Jammu, 01 August 2025: On the auspicious occasion of Sanskrit Month, Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, Raipur (Thather), Jammu, in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Police, organized a special tree plantation program in the premises of Gharota Police Station. The objective of this event was to promote environmental conservation, preservation of Sanskrit culture, and encourage community participation.
SP Rural Shri Brijesh Sharma attended as the chief guest, while Tehsildar Bhalwal Monika Sharma and Team Jammu Chairman Zorawar Singh were present as distinguished guests. Both guests inaugurated the event by planting saplings and delivered messages of environmental awareness.
In his address, SP Rural Brijesh Sharma stated,
“Every individual should plant at least ten trees a year, and planting more is even better. Planting is not enough; nurturing the trees is equally important. Just as we raise our children, we must also care for the plants we grow. Trees hold immense significance in our lives. Sanskrit culture has always preached the protection and promotion of nature. This initiative for environmental preservation during Sanskrit Month by Shri Kailakh Trust is truly admirable. The police administration is always committed to such public welfare activities.”
Tehsildar Monika Sharma emphasized,
“Through plantation, we can provide a clean and safe environment to future generations and restore Earth’s greenery and vitality. Let us all come together to make plantation a public movement and bring to life the motto ‘One Tree – Many Benefits’. It is not enough to plant a sapling; regular care, watering, fertilization, protection, and attention are needed to help it grow into a tree. The ‘One Person, One Tree’ initiative can be impactful, encouraging every citizen to commit to planting and nurturing at least one tree. Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust is playing a vital role in promoting the divine language Sanskrit across the region.”
Team Jammu Chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal stated,
“Sanskrit is not just a language, but the soul of our culture and heritage. In Indian tradition, trees are considered divine – like Peepal, Banyan, Neem, Mango, and Tulsi – all of which are worshipped. Tree plantation is not only an environmental act but also a spiritual and moral obligation. It is a way of expressing our gratitude towards nature. Such programs help instill values, love for nature, and a sense of social responsibility among the youth. The efforts of Shri Kailakh Trust are truly praiseworthy.”
President of Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, Mahant Rohit Shastri, said,
“As part of Sanskrit Month, we pledge to protect Sanskrit language, Indian cultural values, and nature itself. Plantation is a sacred act that not only safeguards the environment but also provides spiritual satisfaction. The seeds we plant today will bear fruits, shade, and life tomorrow.
