Govt Polytechnic Udhampur Guest Faculty Posts Notification 2025

Government Polytechnic Udhampur has invited offline applications from eligible domicile candidates of Jammu & Kashmir UT for empanelment as Guest Faculty for the Nov–Dec 2025 academic session. The recruitment is being carried out for six disciplines across engineering and applied sciences.

As per the official notification, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant discipline. The guest faculty engagement will be temporary and valid only for the specified academic session. The monthly remuneration will be paid at Rs. 750 per lecture hour, subject to a maximum of Rs. 20,000.

Eligible candidates must submit their application form along with self-attested documents to the office of the Principal, Government Polytechnic Udhampur, by or before 05 August 2025. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, educational qualification, and other details below.

For Civil Engineering, Automobile Engineering, and Computer Engineering, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the respective discipline with at least 55% marks. In the case of Automobile Engineering, if no eligible candidate is available, applicants with a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering may be considered.

For Applied Chemistry, English, and Applied Mathematics, candidates must have a Master’s degree in the respective subjects with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications.

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria must send their filled application form along with supporting documents to the Principal’s office at Govt Polytechnic Udhampur before the last date.

Selection Process:
The selection will be based on a point-based evaluation system: 80 points for basic qualification, 5 points for higher qualification, 5 points for teaching experience, 5 points for GATE/NET/SET, and 5 points for interaction.
